O-Shot is not like the G-Shot

My experience with the O-Shot

For the past 20 years, I was a Plastic Surgery nurse in Beverly Hills. After many hours in the operating room seeing hundreds of patients, performing facial injectables such as Botox and Juvederm, my career took an interesting turn about 9 years ago when I learned about platelet rich plasma (PRP) and met Dr. Charles Runels.

I became his first trainer for the popular Vampire Facelift (Even was on CNN with it) and learned about what benefits patients receive utilizing their own blood. With many orthopedic surgeons using PRP on their patients as well as on the top athletes, there had to be something behind this science. As I went along, I learned about the O-Shot from the same Doctor Runels who trademarked The Vampire Facelift. At first, I was a little skeptical about administering PRP into lady parts. I was worried that it would be extremely painful!

But, after hearing patients who had the procedure and the difference it made, I decided to try it for myself and then learn how to do it so that it could be offered to patients. It’s been quite interesting, and I have to say I never thought that I would sit with women about their most intimate details about their sex lives.

What I have learned is that every woman has a story and that many women (40% or more) have some type of issue that makes them feel inadequate, uncomfortable, and embarrassed. These issues range from urinary stress incontinence, urinary leakage, low libido, and vaginal dryness. It has definitely been eye-opening and inspiring to have women open up to me and tell me things not even their husbands know.

Having the confidence and trust to choose to have the procedure makes me feel honored. I am happy that The O shot is finally getting the recognition that it deserves. Finally, women have something besides medication or devices to help with their urinary incontinence and intimacy issues with their lovers. The O-Shot is not like the G-Shot, which is done using a type of filler in the vagina. The O-Shot is done using about a tablespoon of your own blood, which is then processed to extract your own plasma.

When I hear back from my patients who are happy with the results (it works on 85% of women) it makes me feel happy and that I’ve made a difference in a very important part of someone’s life. It is the greatest GIFT you can give to a patient who declines invitations out due to bladder leakage. ..when their sex life is halted to maybe once a month, and she has zero arousal. CHANGING these conditions is wonderfully amazing and it is life-changing for the patient!

The procedure does not hurt because of specific numbing techniques that are used in addition to the numbing cream. The entire procedure takes about an hour and there is no downtime. For even more information, please go to www.oshot.com.
